UB -- NYIF Joint Degree Programs
New York Institute of Finance (NYIF), along with the Connecticut, USA based University of Bridgeport (UB’s), are offering a groundbreaking international degree pathway – The NYIF Cohorts - for Asian students. Students enrolling in these NYIF Cohorts will have a US degree plus (+) learning experience carefully developed for successful jobs and professional careers. NYIF Cohort students will (i) study and receive the UB’s selected degree (ii) study and receive NYIF’s most popular professional certificates as specialisations, delivered by Wall Street experts and senior business leaders) (iii) receive career coaching and guidance and internship opportunities. This carefully designed global NYIF Cohort program combines rigor of academic theory with practical applications and globalization trends; overall focusing on high-quality learning content and world-class practical learning experience.

In the region, NYIF will offer these degree programs in close collaborations with the various Asian universities.

The renowned, 100-year-old institution of Wall Street - the New York Institute of Finance (NYIF) will provide high-quality supplementary learning to these NYIF Cohorts. In addition to the studies at UB, NYIF will provide the Cohort students a forward-looking, practical and global perspective for doing business, finance and strategic analysis. Under NYIF, the cohort will take courses from leading wall street experts and business leaders, have study tours and in-depth exchanges with overseas financial institutions, and receive regular career development and soft-skills coaching, etc.

Through out the program, each student will receive regular guidance tailored to her / his learning progress and career aspirations, such as – online-offline learning assistance, practical research projects related to interests and opted specialisations, English fluency and learning mastery, career planning, and internships.

  • Master's in Analytics (Online and Residential)  30 Credits (and 6 preparatory credits)

  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) (Online and Residential)  36 Credits
  • Master’s in Education (Online and Residential)  30 Credits
Doctoral degree

  • Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership (Hybrid )  62 Credits
 
The application requirements

Undergraduate

  1. An official copy of all high school transcripts
  2. SAT or ACT scores are optional
  3. Two Letters of Recommendation
  4. Personal Statement
  5. Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, ESL, Duolingo, or Others/ESL)
Graduate

  1. Transcript for last degree earned (Some programs may require transcripts from each institution attended)
  2. Some graduate programs may require letters of recommendation, standardized test scores, personal statement, and resume.
  3. Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, ESL, Duolingo, or Others/ESL)
Doctor Program

  1. Application
  2. Official transcripts for the last degree earned
  3. Two recommendation forms
    • Provide one form from a colleague and one form from a supervisor that attests to your demonstrated leadership, the potential for further leadership development and the ability to benefit from doctoral study
  4. Personal statement
  5. Writing sample
    • The writing sample may include your master’s thesis, a published or submitted journal article, a scholarly paper, or a document created for your institution
  6. Resume
  7. Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, ESL, Duolingo, or Others/ESL)

 


Studying form

Students will be able to go directly to the United States as a full-time student, or study in local country in the form of "online and offline tutoring".

Form in class


Full-time student in US; Online and offline tutoring, including:

  • Multimedia format, support playback. Pre-reading materials, review materials and in-class tests are all completed in the online system.
  • After-school Q&A, online seminars, mutual learning groups and offline activities will be organized regularly.
  • During the study period, students will be organized to study in the United States, and discuss and study face-to-face with top teachers and university professors.
  • The final score of the course will be determined by the attendance rate, homework completion status, and in-class quizzes.


Language requirements

TOEFL/IELTS/PTE and other ways to demonstrate English language proficiency, or take UB/NYIF English intensive program if no language test is presented.

Certificate

NYIF professional certification (Investment Management, Mergers and Acquisitions, etc.), jointly with Asian and American industry associations.
